The Group’s flagship CARE Hospitals, Banjara Hills, Hyderabad — a super specialty hospital — began patient care delivery at the CARE Outpatient Centre in October 2012. Located in the heart of the city, a km away from the in-patient hospital, it is India’s largest integrated outpatient centre with 65 beds which includes Dialysis Unit, Emergency and Pre/Post operative beds.
CARE Outpatient Centre offers consultation in all super specialties in Hyderabad, with a best-in-class ambience of international standards for the convenience of patients. The hospital is spread across 6 floors, covering a total area of 1,85,000 square feet and offers the best medical care in a facility customized to deliver the highest quality of service.
The CARE Outpatient Centre was formally inaugurated on 4th February 2013 by Late Dr. A. P. J. Abdul Kalam, former President of India. Speaking on the occasion, Dr. Abdul Kalam said, “At the CARE Outpatient Centre I feel compassion and hope for the patient. This is a place which conveys comfort to the ailing heart. CARE Hospitals always strives to serve the people and is silent in its approach.” Dr. Kalam was Chief Mentor for the hospital chain.
The CARE Outpatient Centre offers a wide array of super specialty services at a dedicated facility optimized for outpatient consultation. One of the highlights is ambulatory or day care surgery services, where post-operative observation is uneventful. Such surgeries have become possible due to improved technology and are an accepted method of treatment for many patients, where overnight hospital stay is not required.
The CARE Outpatient Centre is closely integrated with the Group’s flagship in-patient super specialty hospital (with regular shuttle services available), preserving the critical hospitalization link for offering complete and comprehensive care to patients.

Operation Theatres
The operation theatre complexes provide facilities for vascular surgery, laparoscopic surgery, ENT surgery, orthopedics surgery and general surgery. The CARE Outpatient Centre Operation Suite with 6 state-of-the-art operation theatres, along with 20 beds for post-operative recovery and a 6-bed ICU, are also located here. All the day care services have pre-defined packaged tariffs, so that patients are well informed about all the expenses, in advance.

Dialysis Unit
The CARE Outpatient Centre’s Dialysis Unit has state-of-the-art computerized machines with very experienced and humane technicians. There is a separate wing for infected cases. The CRRT (Chronic Renal Replacement Therapy) machine is used for critically ill patients. This form of dialysis is well tolerated by haemodynamically unstable patients. The CARE Outpatient Centre also has an active renal transplantation program and performs related donor transplantations. The Nephrology Division provides comprehensive renal care under one roof and aims to be a tertiary care referral centre of international standards.
A 26-bed dialysis unit with both peritoneal dialysis and haemodialysis is also available.

All the blood samples of laboratory investigations are collected using the vacutainer system of collection, which avoids contamination and, consequently, any gross error.
